100 Days Smarter
Kindergarten students from Lumen Christi Catholic College in Pambula Beach celebrated their first 100 days of school, and what an unusual first 100 days of school it has been!
In their short time at school the kindergarten students have taken bushfires, remote learning, and COVID-19 all in their stride. Teachers Ms. Radanovich and Miss Chester have been impressed with both the progress students have made and the resilience they have shown during this time. The Kindergarten class of 2020 have not only survived but thrived.
To mark the milestone the students had a day of celebration, complete with casual clothes, treats, and special personalised cupcakes. Students proudly wore ‘100 Days Smarter’ crowns and medals with individual messages from their teachers on the back.
During the day students participated in mathematical activities based around the number 100 and wrote about the things they have learned how to do since they started school 100 days ago. A highlight for many of the Kindergarten students was getting to take part in a 100 cup stacking challenge. Judging by the huge smiles on the faces of the kindergarten students they certainly had a day to remember.
