Glory revealed

Lord, when your glory appears, my joy will be full.

The psalmist says Lord when your glory appears, my joy will be full. We are so blessed because God’s glory has appeared. There is joy in the knowledge that God became man in Jesus. In doing this, Jesus was able to reveal the fullness of God’s love for us in his passion and resurrection.

We can see how much we are loved.

Saint Ireneaus has been attributed as saying, “the Glory of God is a person fully alive.” So, in Jesus, we know what it means to be human. Jesus lived the most fully human life and thus revealed God’s glory. The knowledge that God loves us and gives us so much dignity allows our hearts to be full of joy.

Lord, let us see the truth of the gift of our humanity so we may have hearts of joy.
