Hungry for God

From the very beginning, our good God has longed to ‘give life to the world’ by giving us ‘bread which comes down from heaven’.

Jesus gave us the gift of his very life so that the deepest yearnings of the human heart can find their fulfilment in him. 

Jesus’ resurrection means we need no longer fear our own weakness and limitations. 

We can open ourselves to experience the lack, the need, the hunger deep inside us for acceptance, integration, authenticity, belonging, relief, comfort, meaning. 

Jesus, we are hungry for all that you are and all that you are doing within us and around us. Feed us, Lord, with your very self and empower us to become bread broken for others.
