Canberra-Goulburn Mission Mass celebrates World Mission Month

Mission Mass

Over 600 school students and young adults from across the Archdiocese attended the annual Archdiocese Mission Mass on Wednesday to celebrate World Mission Month.

The Cathedral was full: full of hearts on fire for the Gospel; full of melodic voices singing beautifully; full of prayers for the works we are supporting around the work and especially in Myanmar and full of hope for the future missions of the Church.

A big thanks to all those who served to make this such a profound and joyous event.

Remember: You are Mission. The light of Christ that you carry is the gift that the world is waiting for!

Happy World Mission Month!

What a wonderful witness to the mission of the Church. It’s always been that way of course, and you’re simply reinforced it’s mandate. Who were the priests who celebrated the Mass (their background in Mission), and why is the Deacon sitting apart from the celebrants? I suspect that was the husband of the Director of Missions who put all this together. Why weren’t they sitting on the altar together? Your PR people need to upgrade their skills of presentation. We’ve got a long way to got to overcome this clericalism, and this didn’t help. However, well done to those who put this together. Blessings, Kerry Robinson, Newcastle
