St Clare’s College is thrilled to have received a grant from the Department of Industry to support students participating in international STEM events and competitions.

The $20,000 grant will assist students to travel to Louisville, Kentucky in 2019. In Kentucky, they will assist or compete in the VEX Robotics World Championships in April.

The SWITCH (St Clare’s Women in Information and Communication Hub) team have been working tirelessly throughout the year to build and program VEX IQ and EDR robots. They have been competing locally throughout 2018.

In December, they will travel to Melbourne to compete in the Australian National Competition.

In the United States they will see competitors from all over the world come together to solve this season’s challenge.
