What are we waiting for?
It is “good news.” But how to spread it? From Acts 8 comes a paradigmatic passage.
First, an affinity with the Divine:
An angel says to Phillip, “Be ready.” He is.
The Spirit says to Phillip, “Go up.” He does.
Second, community:
Phillip asks the eunuch, “Do you understand what you are reading? The eunuch replies, “How can I unless I have someone to guide me?”
Third, a willingness to explain the Gospel:
“Phillip proceeded to explain the Good News of Jesus to him.”
Fourth, baptism:
“Phillip baptized him.”
