Whose House?
King David wanted to build a house for God. He had the best of motives, of course, but the road to hell is paved with those things.
God sent him a wee message: You’re just a jumped-up shepherd boy; I’m God. So, I will build you a house.
Look to the Gospel. Mary isn’t going to do anything for God; fully open, she lets God act in her, so the house, which we call Church, is prepared, ready.
The Word was made flesh!
