Saint Mary MacKillop Pambula Pilgrimage
August 7 @ 12:00 PM - 2:30 PMFree
You are invited to join the Pambula Parish, other pilgrims and Archbishop Christopher Prowse, as he leads the annual St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Pilgrimage in Eden on Saturday 7th August.
Due to the current Covid19 restrictions, some changes have had to be made to this special event, but it will still be a special day of prayer, celebration and spirituality.
The plans are as follows:
You are encouraged to walk a little way in Pilgrimage on your way to Mass – to spend some time in individual prayer or family prayer groups – walking in the steps of Saint Mary. This may be in Eden or on your journey to Eden.
The celebrations will begin at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Calle Calle Street, at 12.00 noon. Archbishop Christopher will celebrate the Eucharist with all present, to honour our first saint and the legacy she has left us.
After mass you are invited to gather outside [ weather permitting] and enjoy a picnic lunch. As we are unable to provide the usual lunch, please bring a picnic lunch, chairs or a rug to sit on. Tea, coffee, water and juice will be supplied.
Covid regulations include:
- Masks must be worn indoors and wherever you are unable to maintain 1.5 metres distancing outside
- Check in at the church must be done on the QR code displayed. If this is not possible, your contact details must be registered with a volunteer who will be able to assist
- Pre-registration is essential due to the restrictions on numbers. Please register on the parish website http://cg.org.au/pambula/Home.aspx
We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 7th August, to celebrate this special event.
