World Day of Prayer – Yass

The World Day of Prayer has been held globally each year since 1927 and in Yass has been hosted by a different church each year. This year St Augustine’s Catholic Community is hosting at the Lovat Chapel.

The event will include a prayer service at 10 and morning tea at 11am, closing at 12 midday.

Guest speaker, Selina Hasham, is an Australian born Lebanese Christian who has traveled often to the Middle East both personally and as the CEO of Harvest Journeys – a Christian pilgrimage company that organises regular faith-focused tours to the Holy Land and other locations.

Selina will speak on this year’s World Day of Prayer theme: “Bearing with one another in love” Eph 4:2 and will share her personal reflections on the faith of Christians in war-torn Palestine as well as the call on all Christians to pray for peace in the Middle East.
