When you help a woman climb out of poverty, you also help her family and her community Photo Credit Caritas.

Caritas Australia, the aid and development agency of the Catholic Church in Australia, invites you to stand in solidarity with the world’s most marginalised women, by attending the annual Women for the World fundraising luncheon.

Guests will be able to enjoy a two-course lunch while hearing stories from our International guest, Shimray, a twenty-year veteran of Caritas India. She will share stories of the operation of the Women’s Self-Help Program, an initiative that has seen women banding together to respond to issues that directly impact their lives including domestic violence, human trafficking, and women’s rights. The event will be hosted by award-winning journalist, Genevieve Jacobs.
