The Rodeo is conducted as ecumenical activity to raise funds for the local Catholic and Anglican Churches that has been ongoing since 1960. The venue for the Bungendore Rodeo is the Bungendore Rodeo Equestrian Sports and Recreation Reserve, located 5km from the Bungendore Village on the Kings Highway – the South Coast Road.
