What does it mean to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ? It means to know Jesus more through the daily pursuit of reading, meditating and living the Word of God.  Like a tree that is planted by streams of water putting its roots deep into the soil, bringing forth abundant fruits, we too are called “to bear fruit that will last” (John 15:16). What are the fruits  God grows in His disciples? The Holy Spirit grows in us  love, joy, peace forbearance, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22-23).  We can know we are growing in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, when we use our voice to praise God in all circumstances, (reduce complaining), overcome evil with good, and rejoice always with a heart filled with gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
