St Gregory’s Catholic Church in Molonglo Street Queanbeyan has been continuously in use since it was opened in 1850.
Hear all about this little church, designed by Augustus Pugin. It is an example of Gothic Revival with its pointed arch windows, steep roof and stained glass.
Enjoy afternoon tea.

Guided tour of St Gregory’s Church Molonglo Street Queanbeyan NSW by historian Dr Margaret Carmody..
Lean about the community that built and used the church. See the traditional Gothic Revival features of the little stone church that has been in continuous use since it opened in 1850. It was designed by Augustus Pugin who also designed the interiors of the Houses of Parliament in London and Big Ben, along with several other churches in Australia.
The tour will be followed by an old-fashioned afternoon tea in St Gregory’s Hall. Cost gold coin donation and free refills of tea or coffee.
You will have a chance to hear some stories from locals all about their connections with the church. Find out about the early days of St Gregory’s School which began in the church building. The Parish Timeline will be on display. Free parking.
