Donations are a wonderful way to support the work of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. You can make a single, monthly or annual pledge using different methods, including credit card or direct debit payment. Every donation, whether big or small, helps to ensure that the Archdiocese can continue to provide programs and services that bring hope and joy to many people in the community. Donations in some instances can be tax deductible.

The First Collection

Central Presbytery Fund account for the Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn. 

  • Priests in parishes where the first collection is insufficient to meet their stipend
  • The support of the Archbishop, Vicar General and Chancellor
  • Priests in remote dioceses across Australia
  • Clergy Retirement Foundation (in support of sick and retired clergy)

The Second collection

This is for the maintenance and growth of our parish’s mission.  For example:

  • Liturgical needs
  • Salaries
  • Utilities
  • Resources
  • Maintenance of schools and churches
  • Repayment of loans
  • Parish sacramental formation and pastoral programs

    I didn’t know the name to put in for the Cathedral Parish so I could donate.everthing I tried was rejected.Lucy Denley.  I have loved your e Masses .I never missed a day when I lived there 20 years ago!
