There Are No Words

An Irish poet once wrote that, ‘There are no words for chestnuts in October,’ and the same can be said for the Resurrection.

Paul eventually spoke of ‘appearances,’ something that was told to him from as early as 35 CE, and the words for ‘rose’ and ‘appeared’ were strangely used, indicating that there were no words – what had happened had never happened before.

Resurrection turned the whole world upside down. It says that God really is with us, that we can live as Jesus did; God is both loving and trustworthy.

It’s true, it’s life-giving. Alleluia!
