Parishioners from St Gregory’s Parish in Queanbeyan organised a pilgrimage to Sydney on Wednesday October 3 to visit St Mary’s Cathedral and Mary MacKillop Place.

Twenty four parishioners went along on what was a lovely day.

In their time at Mary MacKillop Place, they were able to learn more about Mary’s story with a guided tour that included visiting the chapel, Mary’s tomb and the museum, and an interactive exhibit.

At St Mary’s Cathedral, they admired the magnificent Stained glass windows and breathtaking sweep of arches.  They also learned more about the history of the early church exhibited in the Cathedral’s crypt.

Though only a brief visit, the group recommended the pilgrimage to all.
