The COVID masked nativity set
The parishioners at St Anthony of Padua’s church in Wanniassa do things a little differently.
With 2020 a year like few others, the parishioners got to work before Christmas on the church’s nativity set.
But besides the traditional figures, parishioners left their mark by including a host of Aussie-themed characters, including a galah, a kangaroo (with joey in pouch, not visible in picture), two wombats, two platypuses, two emus (one wearing a Christmas cap), a turtle, a goanna, a koala, and a dog.
For the hard working parishioners, the coronavirus could not be ignored: there are two angels made from COVID masks.
Can you spot them all?
