Is our Gospel anti-family?
No.
Rather, we are dealing here with the action of the Holy Spirit:
There is a baptism I must still receive, and how great is my distress till it is over (Luke 12).
If you want a ‘surface-level’ religion, then Christianity is not for you.
Christ is taking us to the depths. Think Hebrews 4:12:
The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and or marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
