Carry Christ

Forget ‘wrangling about words,’ says Paul, stick to the resurrection:

Remember the Good News that I carry, ‘Jesus Christ risen from the dead, sprung from the race of David (2 Timothy 2).

Paul carries Christ in his heart. So much so, that he sings of the faithfulness of Christ.

He reminds us of a saying, which historians think was probably a hymn:

If we have died with him, then we shall live with him.
If we hold firm, then we shall reign with him.

To carry Christ in our heart. To sing to Christ in our heart.

Amen.
